The perfect escape

IMG_3679.jpg

Mynachdy is a tranquil coastal retreat on the north coast of the Llŷn Peninsula, near the village of Tudweiliog, with views of the sea and mountains that is perfect for anyone looking for privacy and the ultimate escape.

We restored this beautiful farmhouse to create a place for families and friends to reconnect, create special memories and have fun.  Everything indoors is designed to combine comfort and simplicity, everything outdoors speaks for itself in this stunning corner of wild Wales.  Mynachdy (Welsh for Monastery) sleeps six guests comfortably in the farmhouse and with extra space outside in the garden to camp during the summer months.

The views are endless and there are lots of spaces to get together plus of plenty of room to spread out and find a hidden corner.

Is there a better location in North Wales?
We don’t think so.

  • A working farm

The farmhouse sits within a working farm on it's own adjacent to the original Pilgrim's route to Bardsey Island which has been an important religious site since medieval times and may have been welcoming travellers and guests for over four hundred years. We have tried to keep the surroundings as natural as possible with a few small tweaks to create views, places to escape and a path across the fields to the coastal path and beaches.

  • It's all about that base

Mynachdy, with its beach and coastal path 100 metres walk away, provides a great base for walking, cycling, kayaking, trekking, coasteering, surfing, yachting or even just staying put and lounging around.

There are Iron Age forts, ancient churches, medieval castles, characterful old pubs, great restaurants and of course beaches, coastal trails, cliffs and mountains to explore.

  • At the heart of it all

If you have had your fill of the endless beautiful beaches and coastal paths on our North coast of the Peninsula and you’re in the mood for some retail therapy or even a little nightlife rest assured Abersoch is only twenty minutes away by car. Make sure though if the skies are clear to get back to Mynachdy for sunset, the south of the Peninsula has beautiful sunrises that light up Snowdonia but the place for sunset barbecues is the North Coast and where better than a secluded cove five minutes stroll from the farmhouse.
